Ankit Gupta
Founder and CEO, he/him
Ankit Gupta, MS, is the Founder and CEO of Bicycle Health. He is passionate about the power of technology to create patient-centered experiences that can deliver high-quality outcomes at scale.
Prior to Bicycle Health, Ankit was the Co-Founder and Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of Pulse News. With over 30 million users and a shoutout by ex-Apple CEO Steve Jobs, Pulse was acquired by LinkedIn and now serves as the LinkedIn newsfeed. Ankit graduated from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay with a Bachelor’s in Computer Science, and he earned his Master of Science (MS) in Computer Science from Stanford University, specializing in machine learning.
In his spare time, Ankit volunteers for his non-profit organization, Docs, and Hackers, which aims to bridge the gap between the technology and healthcare fields. He also enjoys a good cup of coffee, a hike, and a good brew, ideally in that order.

Brian Clear, MD, FASAM
Chief Medical Officer, he/him
Brian Clear, MD, FASAM, is board certified in Family Medicine and Addiction Medicine, and he joined Bicycle Health in early 2020 as Medical Director and President of the Medical Provider Group. Brian earned his Doctor of Medicine (MD) from American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine and completed his residency at the University of Kentucky Family & Community Medicine Residency Program with a focus on global health.
Brian’s most immediate role at Bicycle Health is to ensure clinicians have the training, resources, and support needed to provide evidence-based and high-quality care to all patients. More broadly, his focus is to improve quality of care for those experiencing problems related to opioid use. Brian is passionate about using technology to modernize the way healthcare is accessed and utilized by patients.
Prior to joining Bicycle Health, Brian served as Medical Director for the integrated treatment of opioid use disorder and primary care services with BAART Programs in San Francisco. And in his free time, Brian enjoys family time, home improvement projects, and traveling to the beach or woods.

Chris Turitzin
Chief Growth Officer, he/him
Chris Turitzin, BS, joined Bicycle Health in early 2020, leading product development and marketing. After graduating with his engineering degree from Stanford University, Chris founded Momentus Media, a social media consulting firm that specializes in viral marketing strategies, which was later acquired by Facebook. After serving as Product Manager at Facebook, Chris turned to focus on building healthcare technology services.
He later founded Wink Health, a digital health company designed to remove barriers for diagnosis and treatment of sleep apnea, then served as Product Management Lead at Virta Health, focused on type 2 diabetes treatment. Chris is fascinated by applying technology to building better experiences in healthcare and is excited to help build Bicycle Health. In his free time, Chris enjoys cycling and woodworking.

Chris Norris
Chief Technology Officer
Chris has taken four startups to IPO and multi-$100m acquisitions.
His success as a technology leader in both start-up and enterprise environments is driven by his relentless focus on the customer, and a consistent drive for entrepreneurial innovation. He’s built businesses and products from the ground up and scaled teams, technology, and processes that have resulted in tremendous growth.
A pragmatic decision-maker, and an authentic servant leader, Chris has a team-first approach to leading and scaling product and technology teams.
Chris served as CTO, and Head of Engineering at transformation technology companies, including Wheel, Darby Smart (acquired), Polyvore (acquired), Message One (acquired), and Cisco.

Justin Guadagno
Chief Commercialization Officer
Justin is an experienced healthcare strategy leader with a track record of developing value-based partnerships between providers and payers, to increase revenue and growth for innovative companies in the healthcare space.
Justin has led business development and partnerships at high-growth companies in the healthcare sector, including Axia Women’s Health, Sound Physicians, CareCentix, and Davita.
Justin has built a career on his ability to skillfully navigate the complexities of the healthcare system. He’s consistently built strong relationships with payors, accountable care organizations, and provider groups and partnering with them in the industry's transition from fee-for-service, volume-based revenue cycles to value-based care.

Samantha Young
Chief Financial Officer
Samantha is a results-oriented finance leader with over 20 years of experience in the healthcare sector and a track record spanning equity and debt fundraising, investor relations, corporate governance, financial reporting, M&A, business development, finance and accounting.
Samantha has held leadership roles in finance and business development with companies across the health tech sector including Cerebral, CloudCath, Confluent Medical Technologies and Medtronic. She previously served as a CPA with PricewaterhouseCoopers and KPMG and earned a B.S. in Accounting from the University of Oregon and an MBA from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.
In her free time, Samantha enjoys whitewater rafting, hiking, pilates, cooking and paint and wine nights.

Loni Sabo
Chief People Officer
Loni Sabo, BA, joined Bicycle Health in August 2021 as the Head of Talent and Culture and was promoted to Chief People Officer in December 2022. She brings many years of human resource and leadership experience. Most recently, she led and built the talent strategy for Inovalon, a health care data analytics company that included integrating five companies into one talent philosophy and framework. Prior to Inovalon, she worked in a variety of settings from small to large companies, private and public, and domestic to global. She has experience leading large change management initiatives to include culture, engagement, mergers and acquisitions, HR technology, and has led and built numerous programs to include onboarding, talent acquisition, performance management, engagement, career and manager development, and leadership development. Prior to her career in human resources, she spent four years leading and building educational programs for children and families affected by fetal Alcohol Syndrome.
As the Head of Talent and Culture at Bicycle Health, she is passionate about building a culture that attracts, engages, develops, and retains the best talent focused on fighting the battle against the opioid epidemic.

Liza Hoffman
Head of UX Research, she/her
Liza Hoffman, MSW, LICSW, formally joined Bicycle Health as Head of Behavioral Health in March 2020, and she now leads research initiatives to improve the patient and provider experience as the Head of UX Research. Liza is a Clinical Social Worker, and she earned her Master of Social Work (MSW) from Simmons University School of Social Work with a specialization in mental health and addiction. Throughout her career, Liza has spearheaded efforts to expand access to behavioral health treatment that is evidence-based and rooted in shared-decision making.
Prior to joining Bicycle Health, Liza served as Clinical Director of the Digital Psychiatry Division at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, during which she co-founded a digital mental health clinic and implemented a digital literacy program within local community centers. Liza has also developed mobile app evaluation guidelines for primary care systems and consulted for mental health and addiction-related state and federal agencies.
In her free time, Liza enjoys the New England foliage, rock climbing, eating mint chocolate chip ice cream, and reading in coffee shops.

Melissa Roberts
VP of Payor Relations
Melissa Roberts joined Bicycle Health in November of 2021. She brings over 25 years of experience working with insurance payors to bring innovative and life-changing services/products to their membership. An accomplished sales leader, Melissa has focused on developing strategic partnerships and the implementation of value-based payment modalities that drive costs out of the system so revenue can be focused on patient care.
Starting her career as a nutrition support dietitian, Melissa learned firsthand the difference access to quality care can make to the health and independence of individuals. Wanting to make a bigger impact, Melissa developed a career working with payors to provide access to essential and innovative health care to their membership. Partnering with Payors, Melissa brings this same passion to Bicycle Health’s mission of providing quality, accessible and affordable OUD treatment for all.
A lover of travel and adventure, Melissa enjoys exploring new places, taking walks on the beach, and hikes through the hills with her Husband and their French bulldogs Hugo and Coco.

David Shih
VP of Clinical Support Services
David leads Bicycle Health's clinical support teams and comprehensive care initiatives to holistically engage patients in their recovery journey.
Before joining Bicycle Health, David managed DaVita's Kidney Care operations across northern California and Oregon and prior, supported DaVita's inpatient dialysis business nationally. He previously worked in professional advisory capacities to healthcare leaders across the care continuum.
David graduated with joint degrees from the University of Pennsylvania, where he received a BSc in Economics from the Wharton School and a BSc in Nursing from the School of Nursing.

Nate Purpura
VP of Marketing
Nate joined Bicycle Health in 2022 to lead B2B marketing, corporate communications and brand. As a graduate of Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, Nate spent several years working as a journalist and in public relations before taking a small stable of clients and launching a green-tech PR firm with fellow journalists, called Green Car Marketing & Communications. Nate spent half a decade leading account management and business development at the firm, before going in-house at the Permanente Medical Group to lead B2B marketing for the medical group’s prevention programs.
In 2008, Nate joined eHealth, Inc. (Nasdaq: EHTH) shortly after their IPO, and led their corporate communications, content and brand marketing into and through the Affordable Care Act. In 2017, Nate became general manager of eHealth’s online, “off exchange” insurance marketplace, eHealth.com, before joining eHealth’s high-growth Medicare business where he built go-to-market programs for strategic healthcare partners, including CVS, Walgreens and Costco, that generated consecutive years of triple-digit revenue growth of over $100M in two years.
In his free time, Nate enjoys mountain biking with his kids and his dogs, coaching his kids’ sports teams and attending concerts with his wife.
